About Us

Welcome to the Thirsty Turtle, a premier deli and sports bar in Huntsville, AL. We've been "The Best Burger in Town" since 1990, but we offer so much more than just that! Stop in for an overdue game of darts or a pool game. Try a reuben, salad, burger, or one of our delicious sandwiches. Great staff, amazing food, affordable drinks, and a great atmosphere. I had lunch here today and it was fabulous. Best burger and fries in town. I had the 1/4 pound burger and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The bun was nicely toasted. I’m pretty picky about fries and they were perfect. Crinkle cut fries that were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The waitress was very friendly and personable. The last time I ate here was probably thirty years ago. It is now smoke free and very clean.

I’ve not tried the food, as of my first visit today, but wow the atmosphere and the draft beers are NICE. So comfortable like an old favorite sweater. This is the best post-work bar stop I’ve found so far, after moving back to Huntsville about a year ago. Been dying for a place like this to disappear to.
